Prompted by his father and grandfather, Steve began studying saxophone at a very early age. He practiced diligently, entering contests throughout grade school and excelled as a featured soloist in Illinois State Competitions.
In high school he led the saxophone sections in both concert and jazz bands before joining local groups performing in a variety of musical settings including legendary Elvis impersonator Rick Saucedo.
Steve moved to Los Angeles in 1979 to pursue advanced musical training at the Dick Grove School of Music studying jazz performance, writing/arranging and film composition. There he performed in numerous live bands playing saxophone, flute and singing before starting his own music agency contracting bands & disc jockeys for parties and events. Steve’s band City Heat was featured in the 1992 Olympic Festival in LA. He has performed for many celebrity parties and corporate clients such as The Arthritis Foundation, Delta Airlines, JBL, Jet Propulsion Laboratories and Deloitte & Touche to name a few.
Steve has been featured on albums including the Stray Cats and as a Beatles sound-a-like for Hal Leonard Productions. You can also see him in many TV shows & movies performing on screen in episodes of Baywatch, 90210, Earth Angel, This Boy’s Life, Naked Gun 331/3, Nutty Professor and Picket Fences. He also sang “Twist & Shout” on an episode of King of the Hill.
In 2004, Steve moved to Las Vegas and soon began performing with local groups in casinos and for private events. Through his new associations, Steve was asked to join Terry Fator’s Show after Terry won America’s Got Talent in 2007.
Currently he performs with many of Las Vegas’ finest entertainers each week at the Tap House and Siena Tratoria and also tours with renowned Hypnotist Tina Marie and two Billy Joel/ Elton John Tribute shows.
